The Ascot Group Spring Barbecue Success

Last week the Ascot Group took off their winter coats and stepped into spring with the help of the annual spring barbecue party. All staff from Purplex, Insight Data and Business Leader celebrated together at the 200 office space and enjoyed an opportunity to get together with the help of live music, beef brisket, an open bar and talented karaoke stars.

This year’s spring barbeque party was particularly special as it highlighted just how much the Ascot Group has grown over the past 12 months. Since the Ascot Group’s beginnings in 2004, the party has been held at Andrew Scott’s house – CEO and founder. However, because of the growing team, this year’s party required a far greater venue, and there seemed no better place to host the 19th annual spring party than in the Ascot Group’s very own offices.

Committed to supporting the tight-knit community of the Ascot Group, Andrew made sure to transform the offices into an amazing party; complete with food trucks and gazebos. He comments:

“Hosting everyone and their families here really highlighted to me just how much we’ve grown over the past year.

“We’re a team of hard workers, passionate communicators, cocktail drinkers, and karaoke singers. A force to be reckoned with.

“The bedrock of the Ascot Group is our community, and what we have here is a rare find in the business world. Building an authentic culture is more than mission and values. It’s as much about your team connecting together, building relationships and creating memories.

“As leaders, we need to not only embrace this but actively encourage it. I believe it builds a much stronger business where your team really care and are passionate about what they do.

“Without that bond, it’s simply work – a transactional commodity driven by KPI’s.

“I’m already looking forward to our next events – The Ascot Group sports day and summer festival.”
