Members of the Ascot Group team will be taking on the Walk 100 Miles in October challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. The effort will be logged throughout the month and reflects a cause that means a great deal to many people across the business.

Breast cancer affects families, friends and colleagues in every community. One in seven women in the UK will receive a diagnosis in their lifetime and around 400 men will face the same news each year. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which highlights the importance of early detection. Regular checks take only a couple of minutes yet can save lives.

Each participating team member has pledged to complete 100 miles during October. Some will be mixing long weekend walks with shorter daily outings while others are planning early morning circuits before work. The aim is simple: raise funds that help support life changing research and care for people affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Now provides vital information, guidance and support services. The charity also funds research aimed at improving treatments and outcomes. Every mile walked in October will help contribute to this work. We hope to raise more than £1000 by the end of the month.

This challenge is also a reminder to check in with ourselves. Building simple habits like regular self checks can make a difference. Many of the team will be using the month to reinforce this message among friends and family.

We look forward to seeing how many collective miles we can achieve. Thank you to everyone who supports the team, spreads the message or donates to Breast Cancer Now. Every contribution is appreciated and helps make each step more meaningful.
